Every so often some of the flock of 40 odd birds would come
onto a tree just above the main road. Some berries were in the sun
and below the main part of the tree, giving a clean background.
Just once or twice when the sun was out I managed to get onto one
bird for an instant before it flew off.
This was the type
of shot I was after - but it was a shame about the shadow on the
front of its head.

Quite a crowd for this bird which was pretty
inactive for long periods. Perhaps this was due to the
conditions which were hardly inspiring. Gone was the sun of the
last few days, replaced by fog and dullness!
In this tree,
all it did was look to the left, and right for at least half an
hour
