On 16 April. the aurora apps were looking great during the afternoon but just as it was getting dark, the activity levels fell off the side of a cliff! Later at about 21:40 there was another alert for strong activity, so I set off from home to my nearest site. I got there only just in time, with the brief burst of activity quickly subsiding after only a few minutes. Later there was a modest pick up in activity.

This image was taken with a Canon R5 and the Canon 16mm f2.8 lens, using 8 sec exposure. As on 1 January, spent nearly an hour here, this time collecting over 300 shots for a timelapse. The level of activity did't really warrant all the time I then spent processing the resulting images!
